Abutments
For Abutment Heavy-duty steel frames are used, which are made from a very thick M. S. plates (as shown in picture). This steel frames are Casted with concrete / Embedded 2 meters below the ground level at the Dead End & Live End of Concrete flooring Beds.
The Abutment's Design & stressing capacity should be such that thicker hollow core slabs can be manufacture in future. The abutments provision should be made for additional casting beds while preparing for the groundwork.
Stressing
Stressed / Tensioning Equipment operates on hydraulic Circuit with the help of dedicated stressing jacks. The stressing jack is extremely robust; reliable; require minimal maintenance and are able to withstand to the rigors of precast production.
The stressing jacks come with hydraulic lock-off as a standard. This feature allows hydraulic oil to be transferred internally down through the barrel of the jack to the lock off cylinder. This allows the internal pulling wedge to be pushed back up against the stressing grips ensuring that when the operator has stressed up to the correct pressure/load it locks the wire/strand into the stressing grips on the abutments.
The Jack stresses a single cable strand at a time (steel wire rope) for the reinforcement of hollow core concrete slab.
The preset jacking force is controlled automatically by the means of pre-stressing limit set on the machine. It is having a low fault rate, correct in measurement of force & convenient for operation and maintenance. Spring is used for the measurement of force.
Tendon pre-Stressing is 70 % of UTS only, if extended to 100% it will break. Hence the typical UTS breaking load for strand for 5mm is 32 kN, 9.3mm Strand is 92kN, 12.5mm Strand is 164kN.

Stressing Anchors / Grips / Wedges
We offer a full range of stressing grips for all pre-stressed concrete applications from 5mm wire up to 12.7mm strand. The internal spring of Anchor grips / wedge ensures that the wedge sits correctly inside the enclosed barrel preventing the wedges from movement by work being carried out at the live (stressing) end. Please make sure that Anchor grips / wedge is well cleaned, Inspe4cted & treated before reuse to ensure safe stressing operation.
