Side shifter for the cross - transportation of pallets
In Pallet circulating plants at many places production pallet are Cross-transported or transferred parallel to the production line with the help of Side Shifter. They are used for transporting production pallets 1). From vibrated & compacted station to a Levelling station. & 2). From de-moulding station to a Tilting Station. In some cases they are also installed before concreting station to remove the rejected production pallet for some reason or other.
The Side shifter by a means of pair of Cross-lifting cars preforms the cross-transport. The cross-lifting cars are powered electrically using a cable carrier system. After the cross-lifting cars have been precisely positioned under the pallet, the pallet is lifted using hydraulic system and transfers it from the production area to a parallel one. The side shifter / transfer tables which runs on the fixed guide rails on the floor and are completely automatic. An electronic synchronous run-control system ensures that the pallet then moves precisely across to the new position. The transfer process stops automatically & alarms if there is any hindrance in its travelling path, as it has built in safety device.
